Giant Water Bug (Lethocerus indicus) in Sumatera Indonesia


This giant water beetle is from the family of Belostomatidae under genus of  Lethocerus. The species name is Lethocerus indicus (Lepeletier & Serville, 1825)






Those photos of Giant Water Bug above were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This big brown insect with strange looking legs was visiting my house at night. The size was around 80mm from tail to head. It is from the family of Belostomatidae from genus Lethocerus.
