Lime Swallowtail butterfly (Papilio demoleus)




Those photos above were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. The Lime Swallowtail butterfly (Papilio demoleus) is from the family of Papilionidae of genus Papilio. The upper side of wing is dominated with dark brown color or almost black with white patterns and spots over it, which contrarily to the under side. The thing that makes this butterfly looks beauty is the existence of orange tornal spot with blue edging at its hind wing.
