Oxyopes: Striped Lynx Spider in Sumatra Indonesia


This photo was taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. An striped lynx spider is capturing a tiger moth for its food in the daytime. This spider is from the family of Oxyopidae from genus Oxyopes. It has green and orange lines running the length of its body. The body of this spider looks longer and thinner than other spider. The legs have a few of long hairs.
