Dingy Bush Brown Butterfly (Mycalesis perseus)




Those photos above were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. Altough this butterfly not dingy at all, the common name for this butterfly is dingy bush brown butterfly (Mycalesis perseus). This butterfly  is from the family of Nymphalidae from genus Mycalesis. This butterfly has brown color on both wing surfaces, and marked with a series of ocelli on under side of fore wing and hind wing, and a single straight median line across the underside of both wings. The upper side surface of fore wing marked with one big ocelli.
