Drury's Jewel moth (cyclosia papilionaris) Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This cute litte moth is called Drury's Jewel moth (cyclosia papilionaris). It has broad dark color of veins surounding white interspaces on the upperside of its wings. The head and the upper thorax  are white ornamented with blue marks.



The abdomen is banded with white and dark bands. The size of the wingspan is about 60 to 70mm. The size of the body from head to tail is about 25mm. This moth is from the family of Zygaenidae under genus of Cyclosia
