Peacock swallowtail butterfly (Papilio blumei) Sumatra Indonesia


I was so surprised when i saw this butterfly flew around my bougainvillea flowers. It because this butterfly seldom found around here in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. Even its wings have shaterred, i could see clearly that this must be the peacock swallowtail (Papilio blumei). This swallowtail butterfly has black background color of its upper side wings with a large bluish green marks across the wings. The green color also can be found at the basal to discal of the hind wing. The wing span is about 100mm.
