Cocoa Tussock Moth (Orgyia postica), Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This moth is from the family of Erebidae under subfamily of Lymantriinae. The species name is Orgyia postica (Walker, 1855).




This moth has bipectinate antennae and hairy legs. The wings are brown with dark narrow zigzag pattern at the discal and post discal of fore wings. The wing span is about 25mm to 30mm.
