Common Hedge Blue Butterfly (Acytolepis puspa), Sumatra Indonesia


This photo was taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This butterfly has black and white bands on it antennae and legs. This small butterfly is dominated with black and white color all over its body. It has black and white bands on its antennae, legs and abdomen. The eye is black. The under side of wings have white background color. It has a  series of continous pattern at its apical trough the fore wing to hind wing. Three obvious spots are marked at the median of hind wing. It also has short tail at the hind wing. The body size is about 10mm with the wing span is about 20mm.
