Four-eyed beetle : Astathes levis, Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This beetle is from the family of Cerambycidae under genus of Asthates. The species name is A. levis (Newman, 1842)



This beetle has orange color of head and thorax. The elytra is black and orange, with black color at the base to the middle of elytra. It has four eyes, two at the front below the base of antennae and the other are over the base of antennae. The size is about 20mm.
