Triangled Moth (Trigonodes hyppasia), Sumatra Indonesia

Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This moth is from the family of Erebidae under genus of Trigonodes. The species name is Trigonodes hyppasia (Cramer, 1779)


This has a unique pattern marks on its upperside of wing. It has four obvious black triangle marks bordered with white line along two sides of the triangle on its upper side of fore wings.  The thorax is hairy in grey with two narrow black hair lines stretched from head to abdomen. The size is about 20mm. The wingspan is about 40mm.
