Hulodes caranea Moth, Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This moth is from the family of Noctuidae under genus of  Hulodes . The scientific name for this species is Hulodes caranea (Cramer, 1780)



This moth has dark greyish brown color with paler margins to the wings. Between the dark color and paler color across the wings is separated with withe straight line forming a "V" mark across the wing. The wing span is about 70mm.
