The Jolly Telamonia (Telamonia festiva), Sumatra Indonesia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This spider is from the family of Salticidae under genus of Telamonia. The scientific name for this species is Telamonia festiva (Thorell, 1887)



This jumping spider has broad chepalothorax and narrow abdomen. The base color of body is black. The white hair markings are presented over its chepalothorax and abdomen. At the chepalothorax, the marking looks like an arc surrounding a medium size white hair mark at the center of chepalothorax. Meanwhile on abdomen,  the marking looks like rows of V character ended with circle mark near the tip of abdomen. The size of body is about 7mm.
