Colorful Jumping Spider (Siler semiglaucus), Sumatra Indonesia



Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This spider is from the family of Salticidae under genus of Siler. The scientific name for this species is Siler semiglaucus (Simon, 1901)






This jumping spider has broad chepalothorax and abdomen. This jumping spider is very colorful. It has light brown color marked with redish orange and light blue color on its chepalothorax. From the side view, we can see two stripes in orange and blue at the border of chepalothorax.On the abdomen, there are four big blue marks surrounded by redish orange mark. Those marks are followed by black, yellow, black and metallic brown bands. The size of body is about 4mm.
