Gellatin Slug Caterpillar Moth (Cheromettia sumatrensis), Sumatra Indoensia


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This unique moth is from the family of Limacodidae (Slug Caterpillar Moths) under genus of Cheromettia. The scientific name for this species is Cheromettia sumatrensis(Heylaerts ; Hering, 1931) 


This moth has brown color of body and hairy legs. The abdomen is bended upward when at rest. About one third part of the antennae from basal are bipectinate. The wingspan is about 30mm.
