Striped hawk moth (Theretra sihetensis)


Photos in this post were taken in Bengkulu Sumatra Indonesia. This is from the family of Sphingidae under genus of Theretra. The species name is Theretra sihetensis (Walker 1856).



This hawk moth has pale brown color of head, thorax, upper side of fore wing and abdomen. It also has pale brown legs. The forewing has a black stripe and a nrrow white stripe along the center of forewing. A black dot mark is presented on each forewing. The wing span is about 70mm.
